The signature

A multi-tier waterfall, up to 20 metres — inside the sanctuary

Most sanctuaries drive you to a river. Ours falls through the forest at the edge of the herd's own grazing land, so the elephants walk down to bathe when they want to. You get in beside them.

  • Upper tierviewpoint on the trek
  • Main dropthe 20-metre face
  • Plunge poolswimming, elephant bathing
  • Lower fallsquiet, shallow, good for kids

[TBC — confirm tier names, heights, and which programme reaches which tier.]

Care, not shows

Nobody rides. Nobody performs.

The herd isn't staged for arrival times. If they're already in the water when you get there, that's where your day starts.

  • No riding, no chains, no hooks. Guests keep the distance the mahouts set.
  • Feeding on the elephants' terms. You bring food to them, not the other way round.
  • One mahout for every elephant. Not one guide watching a line of animals — a person who knows that elephant, with that elephant.

Look at the photograph at the top of this page: no chairs, no chains, mahouts standing back. That's the whole claim — and it's a real photo.
