Experience an unforgettable day in the heart of Chiang Mai’s mountains. Care for gentle elephants, cool off at a refreshing waterfall, trek through scenic forest trails to visit a traditional Karen hill tribe village, and enjoy a peaceful bamboo rafting adventure surrounded by beautiful nature.

Your day, hour by hour
- Pick up from your hotel in Chiang Mai Old Town or nearby areas and stop at a local market for a short break.
- Travel through beautiful countryside, rice fields, farmland, and mountain scenery toward the Inthanon mountain range.
- Stop at a Karen hill tribe village and transfer to a local pickup truck for the short journey to the elephant camp.
- Arrive at Elephant Land, change into traditional Karen clothing, and learn about elephant behavior, natural habitat, and history.
- Feed rescued elephants bananas and grass, spend time with them, and take memorable photos under the guidance of their mahouts.
- Walk alongside the elephants and their mahouts through forest trails, rice paddies, and beautiful hill tribe landscapes.
- Take a short walk to a refreshing mountain waterfall, cool off, and enjoy the peaceful natural surroundings.
- Return to the camp and enjoy a delicious lunch with fresh seasonal fruit.
- Enjoy a scenic one-hour trek through the forest to a local village.
- Travel by vehicle to the bamboo rafting camp.
- Enjoy a relaxing bamboo rafting adventure through the beautiful natural scenery.
- Change into dry clothes and begin the journey back to Chiang Mai. Arrive at your hotel around 16:00–16:30.

Pickup zone: Free pickup and drop-off for hotels within 6 km of Tha Phae Gate, in the centre of Chiang Mai. Staying further out? Send us your hotel name when you book and we will check availability and tell you any extra transport cost before you pay.
Booking cut-off: we take online bookings up to 20:30 the evening before (Chiang Mai time). After that, message us on WhatsApp — we can sometimes still fit you in.
Children: 5–10 pay the child price. Under 5 come free, but still take a seat in the van — please include them when you book.
Please note before you go
- Elephant activities depend on the herd agreeing to them. They roam the sanctuary forest freely and are never forced, so no two days are identical.
- The plan for the day can change with bad weather or anything else outside our control. We will always tell you why.
