Spend a memorable day at our Chiang Mai elephant sanctuary, caring for gentle elephants and exploring the beauty of nature. Feed the elephants, walk through the lush forest, and cool off at a refreshing waterfall for an unforgettable full-day elephant experience.

Your day, hour by hour
- Convenient hotel pickup from Chiang Mai Old Town or nearby areas, followed by a scenic drive through the beautiful countryside to our Chiang Mai elephant sanctuary.
- Travel through scenic rice fields, traditional Karen hill tribe villages, and the remote jungle of Chiang Mai on your way to our elephant sanctuary. The final 5 kilometers follow a rugged off-road route, offering breathtaking mountain views and a unique journey through hidden landscapes far from the crowds.
- Change into traditional mahout clothing. Learn about Asian elephants, their natural habitat, behavior, and history.
- Feed the elephants, walk alongside them with a mahout, and observe their natural behaviors in the forest.
- Enjoy a delicious packed lunch surrounded by nature.
- Walk through the rice fields to a beautiful waterfall. Relax, swim, and enjoy the peaceful natural surroundings.
- Travel back to Chiang Mai and arrive at your accommodation around 17:30–18:00.

Payment is not required in advance, but if your plans change, we kindly ask that you notify us 2–3 days before your tour date.

Pickup zone: Free pickup and drop-off for hotels within 6 km of Tha Phae Gate, in the centre of Chiang Mai. Staying further out? Send us your hotel name when you book and we will check availability and tell you any extra transport cost before you pay.
Booking cut-off: we take online bookings up to 21:00 the evening before (Chiang Mai time). After that, message us on WhatsApp — we can sometimes still fit you in.
Children: 5–10 pay the child price. Under 5 come free, but still take a seat in the van — please include them when you book.
Please note before you go
- Elephant activities depend on the herd agreeing to them. They roam the sanctuary forest freely and are never forced, so no two days are identical.
- The plan for the day can change with bad weather or anything else outside our control. We will always tell you why.
